The students did an awesome job at Track Trot today! We were fortunate to only deal with rain at the very end. Enjoy the pictures!

Each student was given a yellow homework planner and a purple homework folder. In the planner they should be recording their homework for the day. The homework folder will hold the homework planner and any homework. The homework folder should be taken home every night and returned to school the next morning. Next week we will start an engineering and design unit. Students will be doing some hands on activities. There are a few supplies that we could use your help gathering. If you have any empty paper towel rolls, empty boxes of cereal, or full cans of something the size of a can of soup, we could put them to use. In addition, if you are free Monday morning at 8:40, we could use volunteers to help organize the supplies into sets for the groups. This week students were sent home with Scholastic book orders. If you want to order any books for your child the orders need to be in by Thursday, September 25th. The easiest way to order is to go to this link https://clubs2.scholastic.com/. At the top right there is a link that says Connect to your teacher. If you click that link it will ask for the class activation code. Our code is DKQ9P . I will use all of the points earned from student purchases to buy books for our classroom library. I know some of the methods we have been using may be a little unfamiliar to you, so this is a great place for a little guidance.
